In selecting the works for the exhibit, Donna Payton found the various pieces "an exciting cross of different approaches of art making, some structured and realistic, others a fantastical surreal approach to composition and subject matter." Juror Kali McMillan found it "interesting to see the many ways that the artists chose to manifest sound in their visual works of art.
