Did you know that West Windsor’s motto consists of just
three words: Tranquility, Research, Knowledge? With the advent of
the West Windsor Arts Center, we would add a fourth: Culture. In a
short time the Arts Center has emerged as a thriving cultural
destination. It is truly a "junction where the arts and
community meet.”
To paraphrase a well-worn statement: “It’s
been built and they’re coming.” Here’s proof:
1,000 celebrants at the Art Center’s opening; a standing-room
audience of 200 at the premiere of the Glen Acres documentary, calling for
a second showing; more than 250 people at a recent art exhibition opening
then 80 people at a related gallery talk; and 175 teens engaged in an
“open mic” evening. These are just a few of the events
that brought out enthusiastic attendees.
After almost a decade of hoping and planning, the West Windsor
Arts Center is a now a reality and needs to be tenderly nurtured.
Managing the Arts Center is at times a daunting task, but with a tireless
staff and dedicated volunteers, we’re here to stay.
Frankly, we can’t do it alone: we need your financial
support. Your donation to the West Windsor Arts Council's Annual Fund 2011
will allow us to continue to present an appealing menu of cultural
experiences that includes performances, classes, workshops, exhibitions
and literary art. Your donation will make a difference.
Thank you for your support. We look forward to seeing
you at the West Windsor Arts Center very soon.
Yours truly,
